Project7-16 CARDBOARD BOX SOCCER Wednesday August 29 6:00pm Toronto |
Players will be chained together in groups of 5-10 or so, just like in a real chain gang (chains will be made of plastic) possibly wearing cheap coveralls. You have to traverse the city to freedom while competeing against other chain gang teams to see who's the fastest. Place standings will be determined by how long it takes your team to finish the course. Event will last aproximatly 2-5 hours, so please dont drink too much before attending the event as there will be NO washroom breaks [except for emergencys]. Arms and feet will be chained up to your fellow team mates, so it will take some thought, experimentation, and team work to figure out how to go through doors, up and down stairs, get on and off the TTC, go through revolving doors, use elevators, etc.... while making it to different check points. Sign up alone or as a team, single signed up players will be paired with other single signed up players. |
Project7-16 CARDBOARD BOX SOCCER Wednesday August 29 6:00pm Toronto |
Players will be inside a big cardboard box (like that from a refrigerator) that is in one of two colours and has a 3x20 inch rectangular hole cut into it to see out of. 1 goalie and 4 or 5 players per side. You manouver your box from within to score a goal by pushing an oversized beach ball into yer opponents big net. Some regular soccer scoring. After each goal, one player from each team will be replaced with a fresh player from the side lines (someone not in a box). The game is over when one team reaches 10 goals and a new game is begun. |

| Project7-16 Type #1 Game OPERATION: TELEGRAPH Saturnday March 17, 2007 $5.00 Toronto EVENT FULL |
Toronto streets is the setting for this game. Your mission is to
make it
from one side of the playing field to the other without being "shot" by camera by the other team.
For this game you will require a digital camera or video camera with some sort of viewing
window/playback feature,
and a cell phone. When a player is "shot" by another, the shooter calls into a special number
and registers with the marshall, the player who is shot is called and informed that they are out
of the game. If two opposing players shoot each other at the same time, the one who calls in first
stays in the game. We will play 4 games and each game lasts 1 hour. The team with the most players
across wins at the end of the hour.
After the game - we will be getting together at a local restaurant/bar for much needed rest and
for food and drinks. This is a great time to talk about the days game as well as to make new
friends and to socialize. Starting at about 12pm and lasting 4-5 hours. To join this game and for more info e-mail: urbangames@project7-16.com |
| Project7-16 Type #1 Game INFILTRATION Sunday February 18, 2007 Toronto |
This game uses only the TTC. You can buy 2 adult day passes
for just $8 (or close). You cannot travel on foot except when getting off a TTC vehicle to
catch another TTC vehicle at transfer stops/intersections (if you are caught doing so then you
will be removed from the rest of the game for cheating). You can however get off at any stop to
catch the next same route travelling vehicle (means you can get off and stand at the TTC stop
only, you cannot walk around). The playing field will be devided in two equal portions. The
goal is to make it to the other side without being caught. You can only be caught when you are
in an opponents zone and they happen to get onto the same TTC vehicle as you or get off at the
same TTC stop/platform as you and are caught when you are tagged. If you are caught - you
are escorted to the dividing border line and then must each backtrack at least one TTC stop into
your own territory, and then resume playing. If you make it across your opponents outer border you
are safe and win the game.

| Project7-16 Type #2 Game PIT BALL Saturnday WAS November 25 NEW DATE: TBA FREE Toronto |
Pit Ball is a unique game that you've
never played before (cuz I made it up, lol), it has multiple teams that play simultaniously,
any team can score, we use a huge modified over sized ball. It is carried by a player but only
for a maximum of 10 seconds and can only be passed to other team players
by either head bunting it, kicking it, or throwing it by using its tail
(yes it will have a tail). The ball is thrown up into the air towards all the players by the
referee, and is scored when it goes through a uni-hoop and is once again thrown by a referee.
First team to score 10 wins. The game(s) will be played in a Toronto park.

| Project7-16 Type #1 Game HEAD HUNTER Sunday May 14 Mothers Day Toronto |
This game can be played in any setting but this one will be
played somewhere in Toronto or Etobicoke.
There is a tribe of headhunters (about 5) who go after the other players.
Players are identified in some fashion to set them appart from the general public. There are
"safe" zones or areas where you cannot be captured by a head hunter - things like bus
shelters, park benches, 3feet cirumference of any sign, etc... The head hunters know every inch
of their territory but you are new to the area and are easily lost. Your goal is to find someone who will
believe you and help you to warn the public. You can travel in groups or alone and MUST obey all
street laws (cross at crosswalk only on a green) but your preditors do not.

| Project7-16 Type #1 Game CAPTURED FLAGS Sunday February 26 $5.00 Toronto |
This is my variation of a capture the flag game I used to play as
a kid. It has multiple flags per team instead of just one, it involves a jail, and is not limited to
just two zones devided by a half way border. It plays harder, more challenging, longer,
more entertaining, and requires greater ability/skill/intelligence over the basic original
version, which makes it a shit load of fun.

| Project7-16 Type #1 Game INFECTION Sunday January 22 $5.00 Mississauga |
This game will be played inside Square One, Mississauga City Hall,
Sussex Center, and Mississauga Public Library. Every player is given a uniquely numbered ticket.
The goal of the game is to get as many other tickets as possible wheather its finding them hidden
around these structures or by caputing them from another player. The person with the most
tickets wins the game as well as the grand prize, there will also be other smaller prizes
given away based on random picked tickets from a hat, so the more tickets you find or capture
from others - the greater your chance at a prize. The game will run from 2pm till 5pm or if and
when one player captures all the other players. Afterwards we will go over to the restaurant
across the road from Square One. To join this game and for more info e-mail: urbangames@project7-16.com |
