S.P.U.D. RULES
Using a large ball. Each player gets a different number and a player is choosen to be "it."
This player then tosses the ball into the air and yells a number. Everyone disperses at top
speed, running away from the ball--except the player whose number was called, who must run
after the ball. Once they have it in their hands, they yell "SPUD!" and all players must stop
in their tracks. Then, the catcher can take a moment to survey the scene and decide which
player is the best target. When they have chosen a victim, they toss the ball at that player
or rolls it on the ground attempting to tag the target with the ball. The target must keep their
feet planted on the ground without moving them, but can twist away from the ball, duck or
even try to catch it. If the ball makes contact, they (and their whole team) receives an S.
If the ball misses, or if she catches it, the thrower (and their whole team) receives the S.
The unlucky player must then throw the ball in the air and call a number for the next round.
The game continues until each player (and their whole team) receives the letters S-P-U-D
and is thus eliminated.
Now we can play the game with either of these two options
1. the first loosing team goes through the paddy whack machine which is running between two
rows of the non-loosing teams who are trying to smack yer butts)
2. we keep eliminating all the teams until just one exists and we play again, or a different game.
To make the game easier, we can allow the "it" player to take 3-5 giant steps toward the chosen
target, or we can reduce the size of the playing field.
BLITZ BALL RULES
Using a 37" or larger ball. Blitz Ball Tag will have multiple teams
playing at the same time. Rules:- you chase down anyone who isn't your team mate and throw
the mod ball at them, if you throw it and it misses them than anyone can grab the ball and
use it and no one is out, if it bounces off of them they are out and anyone can pick up the
ball, if it bounces off of them and their team mate catches it before it hits the ground
then they are safe and you are out, if it bounces off of them and a non-team mate
(your team or the team you're throwing it at) catches it before it hits the ground then you
both are out, if they catch it you are out and they keep the ball. The game is played until
a single team is left.
